Blog #1: "Seek His will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take"- Proverbs 3:16

This week I have begun my ISM journey and it began by doing my first research assessment. My understanding of the topic I want to pursue, which is ministry and business, is something I only know surface level information on. So, in order for me to truly know the path I want to end up taking I need to understand what type of business would speak to me the best. I know that ministry is something that I will incorporate in what I do since it is something that has always spoken to me. However, not until recently did I know that business may be the path I want to take as well. I first researched what entrepreneurship is, and it lead me to an essay that described a job that you need a lot of self discipline, motivation, and the ability to come up with your own schedule. That is not me at all. I work better when I am given a schedule and a due date. (Which is why ISM may be a challenge for me). Next I researched marketing. This job seems to revolve around communicating to consumers on all different levels, and the thing that spoke to me above all is in the article that I read, in order for me to most likely succeed I need to become friends with all of my costumers. This type of work seems so fun and interesting. This next week I am hoping to dive deeper in my journey and see if ministry within marketing is going to be the thing that I end up pursuing.
